Students' perspectives determine the school environment

Students in the public-school system each go through a routine that can be positive or negative, and they must endure these locked schedules until the year is out. For the most part, students get up early, go to their classes, learn about different subjects, go home and do homework, then do it all over again the next day. Some enjoy the life of a student; others don’t enjoy it so much. There are pros & cons to being a student.

One anonymous student says, “Walking through the hallway is what I dislike the most during the school day.” It’s pathetic to see kids feeling that way. Certain truths are enlightened by statements such as these. Schools are not always the most comfortable environments to be in. Classrooms can be crammed, and many students say their opinions don’t matter and aren’t resourceful for the school. “Some teachers respect their students and vice versa, but not all.”

Kids say getting to leave is what they like most about the day. That should not be what to strive for. This is not the educational system’s fault in totality, but our students’ outlooks on things. Perspective has a huge toll on how good or bad something is. Everyone gets the chance to have a free education for 12 years, and to use that to pursue a career of their choice. There are positive and negative things about the lives of students, but overall, they’re equally weighed out by each other. It all matters about how someone looks at things.
