His conservative political
views cost Tim Allen his show, “Last Man Standing,” and he is still upset about
it. On October 11, 2011, the sitcom premiered on ABC. Six years later, his
show was cancelled.
“Growing up in a family similar to the one
in ‘Last Man Standing,’ I always enjoyed watching this show,” says Caroline
Fluke. Many families across America are taking Allen’s side and are upset about
the cancelation saying, it was “poor handling” of the situation.
“As
a country, the election made a huge separation between liberals and
conservatives more than ever before. I believe that this show is being
cancelled because some Americans may be offended by it,” says Amanda Marteney.
Allen says that he always wanted his show to portray a loving family that had
different political views, but also a hard work ethic and a principal guy of
the family.
“I
think people in our country take things too seriously. They can’t even enjoy a
show on TV without letting their political views get in the way,” another source suggested.
