America has been keeping with the Kardashians for 10 years and counting

For the past ten years, the Kardashians have lived in America’s somewhat cruel and judgmental spotlight. They started with their original show, “Keeping up with the Kardashians”, and have blossomed into multiple seasonal spinoffs.  On Sunday night (September 23, 2017), they sat down with producer and long-time family friend, Ryan Seacrest, to talk about their experiences over the years and reveal secrets from the show.

Keeping up with the Kardashians has aired in the US for ten years, and people are still interested in it. “It’s seriously hard to believe that people have wanted to watch them for that long,” says Kristin Young.

During the sit down on Sunday night, the family reflected on their individual journeys over the past 10 years. After seeing her transformation, Khloé Kardashian said, “I think I’m happier now but from a bunch of other things, not just the way I look.”  Throughout the night, the family talked about their experiences, both good and bad.

“Any time that Kourtney burned the others is my favorite,” a source stated. The family addressed the very controversial point of having their children on the show. Kourtney and Kim agreed that they both try to keep their children in the background and away from the screen. Kourtney said that her oldest son, Mason Disick, used to be excited to show the people who film the show things he had built with his Legos, but now that he has gotten older, he’s less enthusiastic.

At one point, Kourtney’s baby daddy, Scott Disick, joined the family on the show. Before Scott came onto the stage, Kourtney described their relationship as “psychotic”. When discussing their relationship’s history, Scott said, “I treat you like royalty, you don’t say hello to me. I spit in your face and you’re like hey babe.”  Skourt (Scott and Kourtney’s ship name) has had a very complex relationship that started out kind of rocky.

“I think they need to just be together when that’s what they both obviously want,” Lexie Dalton said when asked about Skourt’s relationship.

Kendall and Kylie came out to join the rest of family halfway through the show. They discussed what it was like to grow up on reality TV and how it affected their careers outside of the show. “I can’t remember a time before keeping up (with the Kardashians),” Kylie Jenner told Ryan on Sunday night.

“While it was probably a unique experience, it must have sucked growing up on TV,” Kristin Young stated. Ryan then covered some family slang. Kourtney revealed that the term “bible” came from brothers that she and Kim dated in high school.  They ended the night with a glass of champagne and a slice of cake. Every family member was present except for Rob Kardashian and Caitlyn Jenner. The event served as the season premiere for season 14.
